Bødalseter

From Bødal you drive 5 km up to about 600 m above sea level. The road is only for regular cars, not campers. From the parking lot it takes about 10 min. and walk into the sætra. You have now entered Jostedalsbreen National Park, and around you you see waterfalls, glacier arms and beautiful nature. At the sætra there are private sætra houses (sel) built in a special row yard. There is also a simple campsite for overnight stays.

From Sætra you can walk to Bødalsbreen, the trip takes about 40 minutes and is an easy walk on a path in flat terrain. The area shows the unique moraine landscape that the glacier has shaped. There is also a guided summit hike to Lodalskåpa with a starting point from Bødalsætra.
