Bødalseter

A hidden gem in Jostedalsbreen National Park. Nice family trip.

From Bødal you drive 5 km on a toll road up to approx. 600 m above sea level. The road is only for normal cars, not motorhomes. From the car park it takes about 10 minutes. and go into the sætra. You have now entered the Jostedalsbreen National Park, and around you you see waterfalls, glacier arms and beautiful nature. On the sætra, there are private sætrehus (sel) built in a special row garden. There is also a simple campsite for overnight stays.

From Sætra you can go in to Bødalsbreen, the trip takes about 40 minutes and is an easy walk on a path in flat terrain. The area shows the unique moraine landscape formed by the glacier.

A guided summit tour to Lodalskåpa with departure point from Bødalsætra will also be arranged.

Toll road price: NOK 100,- 5 km paved road, climb from approx. 50 m above sea level to almost 600 m above sea level
